This Buckhead residence presented a rare opportunity to create hardwood floors that stand apart from the ordinary. The homeowner’s vision called for memorable design, meticulous technical execution, and an end result that would elevate the entire home. The project scope included multi-room installations, unique geometric patterns, and flawless transitions. Every piece was cut, staged, and finished on-site, resulting in a floor that acts as both foundation and focal point.
The client wanted more than a typical high-end floor. Their goal was to create something unforgettable, both visually and structurally. They had seen good work in other homes but wanted something truly unique that could not be duplicated by any other contractor in the area. Their top concern was ensuring every detail would meet their uncompromising standards for craftsmanship.
We began with detailed design consultation, reviewing architectural drawings and walking the site with the client. We selected walnut and white oak for high-contrast effects, then built several on-site mockups to test patterns and transitions. Every step was planned in coordination with other trades, ensuring no details were left to chance and every transition was seamless. We focused on precision at every cut and alignment, never relying on fillers or shortcuts.
The entry features a geometric pattern with a striking 3D effect, perfectly aligned with the custom ironwork at the front door. The kitchen showcases a hand-laid herringbone floor, highlighting natural tone variation and grain. The great room is finished with a custom grid pattern and mitered borders, each element tailored to the room’s unique dimensions and sightlines. All transitions between spaces are engineered to flow naturally, guiding the eye and setting a consistent visual rhythm throughout the home.
The completed floors instantly attract attention and spark conversation. The client calls the hardwood their favorite feature and has invited us back for additional projects. Most important, these floors combine longevity, luxury, and genuine originality. They are built to last for generations.
